A Means Unto An End
|
|
And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, |
|
|
|
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. |
|
|
|
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. |

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. |

WE BELIEVE that our mission at home and abroad:
WE BELIEVE that our mission at home and abroad includes the following:
1. That we are Ambassadors for Christ. (Eph. 4:15; 2 Cor. 5:20)
2. We are to present the Full Gospel Message of the Israel of God (Gal. 6:14-16) to all nations (Mat. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-20).
3. The diaspora is a means to an end: "…for this thing is from me.'" So they listened to the word of the LORD …" -1 Kings 12:21-24.
4. The diaspora (Isa. 11:12; Jhn. 7:35) were dispersed into Europe. In particular, it is only the natural (1 Cor. 15:46-50) Anglo-Saxon, Germanic, Celtic, Scandinavian and related peoples that fulfill all the prophetic earmarks that identify them with being the literal physical descendants of the ancient people of Old Testament history known as Israelites (Genesis Chapters 48 & 49; Deuteronomy 7:6-8). These Israelites assisted in embracing the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ and carrying this Good News, not only West, but to the ends of the earth.
The principle of the gospel (Largely or in general) moving east to west
first was revealed in the tabernacle of moses in the wilderness.

5. Being that every person (including every natural Israelite) is born in sin, it is therefore necessary for each and every one to repent (Mat. 3:2; 4:17; Mark 1:15; 6:12). Repentance is required in order to receive the gift of salvation (Jer. 31:31-34). New Covenant Salvation is not a result of works or genetic lineage; it is by grace and it produces a new creation (Gal. 6:14-16). This is freely available to all peoples (Acts 2:21; Rom. 10:13). www.churchonthego.ca

Steps To Understanding God's Plan For The Ages...
...
And Israel's Role In It
STEP 1 - God Had A Plan For Israel
From the beginning, way back in the book of Genesis, God made it clear that He had a plan and purpose for Israel.
God said to Abraham, as recorded in Genesis Chapter 12, Verses 1-3, “. . . in thee and thy seed will all nations of the earth be blessed”. God said that He was going to use Israel to bless the world, and He entered into a covenant or Divine oath of promise with Abraham.
Exodus
19:4-6
further tells us that God was to make a model spiritual nation of
Israel, an example to the entire world, a kingdom of priests, and a
holy nation!
Scripture
Readings
Genesis
17:1-7:
1 "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2 "And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3 "And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 "As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 "Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6 "And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7 "And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee."
Genesis 26:3-5
3 "Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
4 "And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
5 "Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws."
Genesis 22:16
16 "And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: . . ."
The question is does He still have a plan for Israel?
STEP 2 - Israel still features in God's plan today. WHY?
Because
. . .
Old
Testament prophecies made specifically to the nation of Israel have
yet to be fulfilled.
Read:Genesis
49:1(Last
Days) and 22-26,
Isaiah11:1-3
especially Verses
11 - 13
which speak of Israel in the Millennium. Isaiah
54:5-8; 59:19-21; 60:2-3; Jeremiah3:8-18.
Note
In Isaiah
54:5-8,
God says He'll recall Israel. In Chapter
59:19-21
of the same book, God speaks directly to "Jacob", i.e.
national Israel. And in Jeremiah
3:8-18,
at the time of this prophecy God had divorced Israel already, but
speaks clearly of remarrying her.
Because
. . .
God
says He has not cast off Israel, read Jeremiah
31:35-37
He says if the sun, moon and stars continue to exist, so will
Israel.
Read Jeremiah
31:31-37;
and 33:23-26.
Indeed the prophets of old foresaw the day of the New Covenant which
would restore God's ties with Israel. Ezekiel
37
and Hosea
1:10-11.
Because
. . .
Jesus
and the first Apostles said so.
Read: Luke
1:32-33,
54-55,
Luke
1:68-73;
Acts
1:6-7;
Romans
9:3-5,
11:1,
2,
11,
12,
15,
25-29.
Because
. . .
Jesus
said in Matthew
19:28,
".. I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the
Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed me will
also sit on 12 thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel."
Read:
Matthew
5:19
Because
. . .
Surely
it is no coincidence that the Jews are returning to Palestine this
century, thus beginning to fulfill Old Testament prophecies.
Because
. . .
Even
though Jesus Christ completely fulfilled all of the promises and
prophecies of His coming to earth, He nevertheless sovereignly
appointed the birthright blessing to the sons of Joseph (1
Chronicles 5:1-2).
The sons of Joseph have been given the solemn assignment of bringing
the Abrahamic blessing to all the families of the earth (Genesis
12:3).
STEP 3 - The Division of The Tribes of Israel

Israel
was divided into two separate kingdoms after the death of
Solomon.
Read:
1
Kings 11:9-13, 28-37; 12:4-6, 12-15, 21
Both
Kingdoms were separately carried off into captivity by separate
empires. Scripture shows that only the tribes of Judah and Benjamin
and some Levite priest ever returned to Palestine.
Read: Ezra
1:1-5, 2:1, 4:1-4, 10:7-9.
The
Northern Kingdom of 10 Tribes went into Captivity in Assyria from 751
BC and the Southern Kingdom went into captivity in 604 - 586 BC and
the a remnant of the Judahites returned in 534 BC from
Babylon.
There is no Scripture anywhere that says the two
sections ever reunited in Old Testament times.

On
the contrary, Scripture speaks of the reunion of all the tribes of
Israel in the last days. This reunion took place under the terms of
the New Covenant which was ratified by the death and resurrection of
Jesus Christ. He is the Shepherd of Israel who has joined the two
sticks together as prophesied by Ezekiel (Ezekiel
37:19).
Jesus Christ is the High Priest (Hebrews,
Chapters 2 through 10, and 13),
a Minister of the sanctuary (Hebrews
8:1-2)
and Mediator of a better covenant (Hebrews
8:6)
to both the House of Israel and the House of Judah (Hebrews
8:7-13).
The middle wall of partition has been broken down between the two
houses and they have both been made nigh by the blood of Christ.
(Ephesians
2:11-22).
Read: Isaiah11, Ezekiel 37:15-28, Jeremiah 3:6-12, 14, 16-18
STEP 4- Where are the Ten Tribes today?
Who
are they?
The
Bible shows that the 10 tribes must exist today if prophecy is to be
fulfilled, and if what Jesus said is to come to pass. If you're
looking for a mission person, you issue a description, and in the
pages of Scripture we read of the marks of identity by which we may
find the "lost" ten tribes.
Many
Nations
Genesis
17:3-6
A
Nation and a Company of Nations
Genesis
35:11
A
great people and a Multitude of Nations
Genesis
48:13-19.
Note also Genesis
49,
prophecies for the last days.
As
stars in heaven and the sand on the seashore
Genesis
22:17.
God promised that the descendants of Israel would be as numerous as
the stars of the heaven and as the sand of the sea.
In
many waters
Numbers
24:7
(In different oceans of the earth)
Sons
of God
Hosea
1:10-11
Only through the atoning and reconciling work of Jesus Christ can a
man become a son of God, hence New Testament believers are sons of
God, see John
1:12
Blessing
to all nations
Genesis
12:1-3
and 22:17-18
The
people commonly known as Jews in the present day do not and cannot
fulfil these prophecies. We owe a great debt to those who are truly
descended from the tribe of Judah, for Jesus (the "chief Ruler":
1 Chronicles 5:2) came out of the lineage of Judah (Hebrews 7:14) and
the faithful Judahites helped to preserve the Old Testament for us.
And while they are the "Scepter" people (Genesis 49:10),
they are not the "Birthright" people (1
Chronicles 5:2)
The
marks of identity, some of which are listed above, show clearly that
Israel in the last days must be a major world power, consisting of
many nations, including a great people, and a Christian and
missionary people.

Those
who today call themselves Jews do not fit the bill (see Revelation
2:9 and 3:9), but Anglo-Saxondom and kindred peoples have been a
blessing to all the world, and have been almost entirely responsible
for taking the Gospel to the World. They still are a great people,
and a multitude of nations. The Anglo-Saxon and kindred peoples are
as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand of the sea, they
have spread throughout the world (Genesis
28:13-14).
They have, through faith in Jesus Christ, become sons of God and they
are in many waters (oceans of the world).
The
Anglo Saxon and kindred peoples fit this description. Therefore
. . .
It
follows that the people of Great Britain, United States of America,
Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and some of Europe, are
descended from the House of Israel (The Ten Tribes)
God
said in Isaiah
42:18-24
and 43:1
that Israel would be BLIND and DEAF to her identity and mission, and
this is largely true even until today. But His Word reveals the
truth!

STEP 5- The Purpose of the Israel Message
1.
It Glorifies God. He did not have to change His Plans (Genesis
Chapter 12)
but his plan and purpose for the ages will yet be fulfilled. Ezekiel
37:28
2.
It vindicates His word, for His promises to Israel WILL be fulfilled
and indeed ARE being fulfilled.
Isaiah
40:8
and Matthew
24:35
3.
It gives a correct understanding of God's plan for world restoration
and it creates vision and hope for God's people. Micah
4:1-2
4.
A purpose without a plan is a dream. God has a purpose (Ephesians
3:1)
and He also has a plan by which that purpose will be carried
out.
5. It teaches us that we should be a missionary
people. Genesis
12:2-3
6.
It helps us to see that, far from being hopelessly lost, the peoples
of which we are a part are to be spiritually restored and will
fulfill the task of taking Christ to the rest of the world. This is
indeed exciting. Read: Ezekiel
39:22,29; Isaiah 59:19, 60:3
(Quoted by Paul in Romans
11:25-26)
Some
extra Scriptures . . .
Acts
1:4-8
Acts
3:19-21
Ezekiel,
Chapters 36
and
377
Romans,
Chapters 9, 10
and 11
Jesus
is Lord
Israel
is called to be God's model nation, to provide a dwelling place for
him, and to be a Servant nation to the rest of the world. The door of
salvation is open to everyone. Jesus said "I
am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture."
See also 2
Peter 3:9
and Mark
16:15.
Jesus Christ died for both Israel and all non-Israel (Gentile)
people. God the son is our saviour and Lord and we believe implicitly
in Christ's atoning sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. JESUS
IS LORD
Therefore
. . .
God
commands all men everywhere to repent and turn to him. Every man,
woman and child, regardless of race or colour, needs to hear the good
news of Jesus Christ, needs to accept Him as personal Saviour and
Lord.
Jesus bore our sins and sicknesses for us, and has
opened the door of reconciliation, so that all men, through faith in
Him and His work on the cross, may fellowship with God.
If you
have never asked God's forgiveness in the name of Jesus and never
invited Jesus into your life as Saviour and Lord, then now is the
time of salvation. Come to Jesus now. This is the first priority in
any man's life.
|
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. |
